Michael S. Miller was born in The Bronx, New York. His family moved in 1970 to the then small town of Marlboro, New Jersey. Michael received his first camera at the age of five and his passion for photography has grown ever since. Michael spent his youth fishing with Dad, developing his creative skills with Mom and spending time with Uncle Irving learning about nature, photography and life.
Michael left New Jersey to receive a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Photography from The Art Institute, Florida. Upon returning to New Jersey he pursued commercial photography in New York City before establishing Michael S. Miler Photography as a fine art studio in 1989.
Through his creative skills as a photographer he began to share his view of the Garden State(New Jersey). Michael's love for nature and the environment was, and still is apparent in his images. Michael S. Miller Photography expanded in 1990 when Michael met his wife Beverly, who is the business behind the images.
Michael specializes in fine art imagery, nature, adventure travel and editorial images. His library includes extensive scenics of New Jersey, Wyoming, Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, as well as many other National Parks and wild places. Michael's work has been published regularly by Browntrout Publishers, Down The Shore Publications, Teldon Calendars, The Town Planner Calendar,and many other local and national publications, including books, magazines and posters. His Fine Art Prints can be found adorning the walls of private collections through out the world.
